In my opinion being arrogant is the biggest mistake. No one knows everything and if you're being arrogant infront of (potential) clients then there is a big chance that the meeting won't end with a close or a deal.

This is something I am bad at personally. I don't want to appear vain, or like a braggart, so I avoid this. I also don't wish to feed my ego because big egos are usually bad news. However, it is important to acknowledge when something you have done deserves recognition. By not acknowledging my wins, I kept myself playing small. I have limited a lot of opportunities and dampened my potential. I'm sure there is a healthy balance in there somewhere. For me, I tell my friends the good thing I did, and I allow them to share how awesome they think it is. That keeps it out of the professional realm, but it is still acknowledged, and I am celebrating without it being me pumping my own ego up. I don't know if that is the best approach, but it works.
