In my experience, it’s pretty important to not only consider the strength of your initial product but the long term roadmap of potential products. Scaling places incredible scrutiny on your company and you need to make sure are ready not just for today’s technology but the next two down the road.
Companies that scale fast, usually reach a tipping point [aka plateau] and they wonder why their ever-winning strategies don't get them further. The reason is simple: "What got you here, will not get you there". Market has changed, customer behaviours have changed, society has changed etc.. Sometimes small modifications into your strategy do the magic, some other times significant areas of your strategy need to change, some other times you might even need to pivot.
