I would have agreed completely in 2022, but as the field is indeed dynamic and evolving, not everybody need to build/train their own NLP models. Largest of language models are more than capable of handling summarization and categorization tasks in a reliable manner as they are. There are many use cases where the fruits are hanging low. You don’t need perfection as in-par with human is already there. For example GPT-models available in Azure OpenAI are more than capable processing information with same quality as many of employees, but much faster and cheaper and 24/7. For some use cases, even the smaller open source models like Mistral 7B can used for this, but then the quality such as accuracy and ethical filtering do need more focus.
