1 Use LODs and Culling

LODs are different versions of the same object or model, with varying degrees of detail, that are displayed depending on the distance from the camera. Culling is the process of removing objects or parts of objects that are not visible to the player, such as those behind walls or outside the camera frustum. By using LODs and culling, you can save memory and processing power, and avoid rendering unnecessary geometry.

So in basic terms. LODs (Level of Detail): Adjusts the detail of 3D models based on distance to improve performance in games or simulations, as in when your near an object making it look highly detailed and making it low detailed when its far away. Culling: Removes unseen objects from rendering to optimize graphics by focusing only on visible elements. so whatever is in the cameras view gets rendered where as the rest doesn't. How to use a basic run down: LODs: make sure to use Vector3 or Vector2 and calculate the distance between camera and the object. Culling: start by checking for objects in the view of the camera and disable the rest and enable then when the camera moves around to face the other objects.

Texture Optimization: for this we can use compression reducing the quality of the textures. but everyone wants to see a good crisp textures so the game looks good in such case use mipmaps and lods what they do is based on if your near or far they load textures if your near its high res , and when your far low res Material Optimization: for materials its best to use instances of materials rather than make new once for objects that look similar, what i mean to say is if you have 2 cubes both are red material dont make two materials just make one apply it on both. and avoid excessive transparent materials

Shaders and Post Processing: are the best ways to add more lively make it look real and Add that dreamy glow. But one thing is adding things which might be unnecessary based on your game. for example imagine i am making survival game , and its in daylight. me adding vignnet wont make sense here. so make sure to use what you must. avoid most of them. but nothing wrong with trying it and removing it once you feel there is some sort of lag or fps drop while profiling the game.
