El mantenimiento preventivo no sólo debe de hacerse a los componentes mecánicos, electrónicos y estructurales del vehículo como son los frenos, luces, neumáticos, motor de arranque, lubricantes, etc., sino también a los dispositivos de seguridad como el GPS, cerrojos electrónicos, a fin de garantizar que siempre estén en óptimas condiciones y permitan un seguimiento en línea, ubicación en tiempo real, y protección de la carga.

Regular preventive maintenance is only as good the customer will allow. You can have the best plan for maintaining a vehicle, but if the customer only wants to do the minimum. You can still have a vehicle breakdown even if you did everything you could.

Deben de conocer los protocolos de seguridad que deben de considerar los pasos previos a recibir la carga, el traslado de la misma y los pasos que se deben de cumplir en la carretera, así como las estrategias que se implementen de acuerdo a las circunstancias

Vehicle tracking is a good to do but not just some tracking. It is not enough. Closely monitoring all vehicles in all aspects of them such as location, topology, acceleration, declaration, yaw rates, fault codes, fuel consumption, SOC and SOH of those are electric vehicles, etc. If you can track minimum of upper parameters and make some patterns, you may predict anything on all the vehicles on the fleet.

La gestión de flota va a ser importante para las empresas a fin de optimizar el rendimiento y productividad de las unidades de transporte, pero eso debe de ir de la mano con la seguridad de la unidad y por ende de la carga y su tripulación. Esto contribuirá a mantener la reputación y credibilidad de la empresa. Un seguimiento o monitoreo en línea, activo, nos garantiza minimizar los riesgos. No evita al 100 por ciento la ocurrencia de un evento, pero nos va a permitir accionar inmediatamente para tratar de que ese evento no se concrete y si acaso se da, poder reaccionar rápidamente para su recuperación apoyados en la tecnología y en las fuerzas del orden.

Use Cellular/GPS asset tracking systems that interface to OBD port to track and log critical data. Use low power cellular IOT modules and log vehicle and Driving data (ex: BMI160 IMU) to a high endurance FRAM memory.Install unit in a secure area that is not easily accessible.If module is removed vehicle must be disabled and last location shared for theft detection.

Los sistemas de alarma tradicionales ubicados en las unidades de transporte sirven para disuadir a los delincuentes cuando se accionan y de alguna manera brinda al due?o o conductor de la unidad cierta tranquilidad. Pero cuando estamos conduciendo la unidad que alarma podemos accionar? Directamente podemos utilizar un botón de pánico para alertar a un centro de control que existe un peligro y que puedan ejecutar un protocolo de seguridad. Desde un centro de control se pueden levantar geocercas que delimiten un espacio geográfico y alerten cuando el vehículo ingrese o salga de dicha área. Estás geocercas se pueden establecer en zonas de alto riesgo o en lugares donde recurrentemente el vehículo deba de permanecer

Alarm systems should be installed by qualified personnel. Look for a Mobile Electronics Certified Professional (MECP) on vehicle installs. And if your system will require more watts than the factory install system, the upgraded alternator should be installed by an ASE certified technician, to make sure the factory plus system is running smoothly, before any new security devices draw current. Otherwise any troubleshooting will consume more labor hours than it should.

La tecnología actual permite el uso de cámara en los vehículos, las mismas que pueden ubicarse dentro de la cabina de conducción con enfoque hacia el frente y al interior de la cabina. Esto ayuda mucho si permite una visualización en línea. Igualmente se pueden habilitar cámaras para la parte posterior y dentro del furgón del vehículo. La visualización en línea permite un accionar más rápido ante un evento no deseado. Nos ayuda con las imágenes para posterior investigación.
