Whatever software we use,it is an arithmatic model of the logic we put as an input.it just helps us solve the matrix which we practically cannot do manually.Any structure is a chain of links connected by different materials with different properties.The law of chain indicates that weakest link gives away first before the progressive failure. Personally don't see this as a problem. And if it is problem is for nowadays. In the near future the most critical structures, the vital ones needed operative after design earthquakes, tsunamis, tifon or hazardous events, will be 24/7 monitored. We know that the capacity and precision of those supercomputers and sensors will be more than we can imagine within 5 years. So I don't see this a major problem.
