The First step should be to analyse the brand kit of the company, 1. What colour pallet they use 2. What font they use etc Then go through the raw footages and organise it Properly that will save you a lot of time later, Next you should try to keep it as simple minimalistic as you can and edit the raw footage, add some b-rools, create some animation and highlight the main points video is trying to convey with text and animations ( the first step will come really handy in making it feel High quality and very align with their brand theme) Don't forget to put some effort into sound design and then add some music at last. The absolute key thing one needs to understand about corporate video or any project for that matter is: what are the goals of the project, and how will those goals be measured for completing those goals. Once you know the goals of a project and how they are going to be measured, you can unpack deeper questions for the project, such as what are we trying to communicate and why. Which allows us to build a foundation that gets us to the superficial how do we create it.

Working in this industry showed that organising every project in their dedicated folder helps with few aspects: -Moving folder to different location -Finding/deleting media and all related footage I suggest every video editor create their folder structure and create presets for their project files. My structure looks like that: 1. Project with date (2024 05 09 Birthday party) 1.1 Project (place where my project files live in) 1.2 Footage 1.2.1 Interview 1.2.2 B roll 1.2.3 ect. 1.3 Extras (Graphics, anything your client provides) 1.4 Music 1.5 Animation (any graphics) 2. SFX/VFX (usually used sound effects)(I keep them in separate folder and casually add some more) In such template you can move or delete footage after project is done. :))

When shooting interviews, remember that every interviewee, their delivery and subject is different. So how they're cut together and presented in the final edit must also be different. Fast paced cuts and loads of b-roll works great for some content, but not all. If the interview looks great, and if your interviewee is interesting and engaging, there's no harm in letting that footage breathe a little more, allow the audience to see who's communicating with them. Chopping it up too heavily and covering it all with busy b-roll only serves to distract from the message. Build the edit around a well cut together interview according to its natural delivery, tone and the interviewee. You shot the interview for a reason, let people see it.
