-Share the Current and Target state with openness and clarity, including the risks, to get a formal commitment from the stakeholders. -Be candid and realistic about the dynamics, politics, silos and complexity mainly due to legacy & critical landscapes.Don't throw/sweep anything under the rug/carpet. -Be open to the fact that every IT landscape, sub areas and the teams are unique and different. "One" -solution, business case,cost models & provider fits all is not true and no one has a magic wand -The major pitfalls are, deciding the cloud provider at a very early stage, not accepting the reality of the current state, when it is complex and legacy, building superficial and biased CB analysis.
