1 Block cipher design

If so, you should go the extra mile to secure it with GCM; - if not, how critical is speed of operation? If you need to handle large volumes fast, are you more vulnerable to revealed patterns or replay attacks (ECB / CTR)? - can you extend the infrastructure to handle overhead (storing and handling initialization vectors, CBC)?

4 Variable key lengths
