As we progress with the definition of the architecture, one potential problem is keeping it within the boundaries of the intended scope at the same time as keeping the architecture useful and relevant to the organization. To prevent this to happen, it is important to define from the beginning the principles that are to sustain the design, but also making sure that the stakeholders have agreed on critical success factors and conditions of satisfaction related to each architectural component. At last, but not least, the view of the implementation team is very relevant to make sure that the architecture is always sound and viable.

This essentially consists - Vision - Core scope - Organisation wide engineering standards (which keeps on getting updated) - Engineering guard rails such as CICD pipeline, security systems - Centralising fully technical components such as build system, firewalls, load balancer, etc
