They offer the potential to eliminate the erratic behavior of human drivers by maintaining optimal speeds with accuracy as well as better merging abilities that would prioritize traffic flow over personal needs. This would hopefully eliminate most traffic jams leading to more efficient travel and more predictable arrival times. Traffic simulations with live data could also be running in the background and communicating with UAVs to dynamically improve efficiency and react to changing conditions such as emergency situations . This data would help optimize traffic signal behavior and route traffic dynamically.

An interesting concept I ponder is the way we view car ownership could undergo a major change . Instead of buying cars we might see subscription plans offering different trim levels of AVs, much like ordering an Uber. This would eliminate worries about maintenance or parking and make personal transportation more convenient, flexible and affordable. I foresee a scenario where you would have a subscription with a company like Ford or Toyota that allows you to request a larger vehicle for family road trips or a compact one for daily commutes. This concept could redefine transit as a whole offering solutions to suit diverse needs and lifestyles.
