The tools you use could be irrelevant if you don't have a "search for insights" mindset. Pairing up with the data owners and understanding the core of the business is the key to preparing your dataset and model in a way that would facilitate the visualisation part. Keep in mind that managers only ask for what they can see about the data. It's your job to think critically and explore the data in a way that will help the managers see what they can't and improve the data-led decision process.

Según mi experiencia, Power BI y Excel son dos herramientas útiles para procesar y analizar gran cantidad de datos. La primera por la interactividad, riqueza gráfica y acceso móvil; y la segunda por lo popular, fácil e intuitiva, pese a que su capacidad de manejo masivo de información no es tan conocida.

Posteriormente, para complementar esto con parte estadística, podría usarse desde Excel hasta Python o R.

Respecto de minería de datos, encuentro que la facilidad de uso asociada con la potencia que presenta, hacen de Azure Machine Learning una excelente primera o última herramienta tecnológica en este rubro. Sorprende incluso la capacidad que esta presenta para "operacionalizar" los modelos analíticos construidos, es decir, para facilitar su uso embebido en otras aplicaciones transaccionales.
