A tactic I use is empowering and incorporating ways for families to get involved. There are strategies through translations, arts and ways to connect via activity. By creating an environment and clear instruction that is understandable or translated helps students learn equitably rather than forcing to learn things 2x as hard as others.

Workshops and meetings are good for learning more about school and how to help kids with their homework. Also, teachers are giving information about health and how to stay happy. Parents can talk to other parents who understand their problems, and this makes a strong group to help each other. This is not only good for school but also makes the community stronger.

Promote transparency as well. Share generously what a student does in class, transmit their attitude to the parents, how they go about things, the challenges they face and their accomplishments on the other hand. Technology is here to help: record videos, screens, make just audios, whatever way you consider might work. Sometimes just us talking or reporting not enough, the live process speaks volumes. I absolutely love recording my students plus they also enjoy showing what they can do. Remember, sharing is caring ????mind the context though.
