What are effective strategies for studying multilingualism and code-switching online?

My terms and scope are clear. Multilingualism is based on the grammar of the mother tongue and the age at which one or two languages are learned. Learning other languages with grammar as the basis becomes more feasible. Other factors such as phonetics, idioms, slang, idiomatic phrases, etc. are learned through practice. Online code-switching, a feature of bilingual speech, is the alternation between two languages, by the same speaker, within the same sentence or constituent. As interpreting is practiced, this code-switching becomes natural. One strategy is to take notes of short sentences from speaker A to translate to speaker B and vice versa. It's been a bridge of communication.

There is a wide body of ever-changing research on multilingualism. Using peer-reviewed data will give you scientifically-proven methods. There are also experts who have worked in the field their entire careers. Some of these people offer their perspectives through trainings, social media posts, and writings. As long as you take the medium into consideration, any of these modes could be helpful as you begin your study.

For sure, Internet is a great tool, but we always have to take into consideration why are the specialized databases given in the prompt considered as reliable. One of my favorite study cases was one of a young adult (19 years old), migrant from Mexico, who used Spanish when talking to her parents and about notions related to a family context, and English in every other situation. A quick analysis of this case is that the lexis acquired by this person relied on the moment in life she learned it, therefore code-switching according to the situation.

I am going to analyze a local context, which is projected to a regional or international context based on multilingualism and social networks.
