What are effective strategies for building a diverse network of contacts and resources?

Having a clear goal is important in identifying your direction. I use the SMART goal setting formula to help me create a specific goal. When this is established, the steps to get to that goal become crystal clear and it helps you move to accomplish that goal. Having a clear goal is extremely important, so I recommend to ask for help if you ever get stuck on creating a goal. It has happened to me, and asking my peers around me helped me establish a clear goal I can work towards.

As a busy executive, it's vital to ensure you leverage your time strategically. Finding and connecting with like-minded contacts will expand your professional network and open up values-aligned opportunities for you and your business. Set SMART goals by asking yourself: (a) What areas do I have a gap in my network? (b) Where might I find people in those areas (c) Who do I know in those areas that can introduce me to people they know in those areas?
