Being able to see where the actual are that you are studying about using Google or another tool makes a student feel more a part things. The student is not just reading about a far away place, he or she can actually see it and the areas around it to me that makes studying more real and relatable to them.

For history and even geography, after a concentration on a particular region, I often ask my students to construct parallel timelines for two regions. I like to have them insert text boxes identifying connections between the two regions determined by their analysis of technological advancements or events of each region. This is usually followed by an open ended change over time or comparison question.

I've found this tool called Edpuzzle which made my learners engaged in my history & civics classes. It engages learners in learning concepts through interactive video lessons. One thing I have learnt in my teaching career is the aspect that: learners learn differently as we have?Audio?and Visual learners. Podcasts and videos tend to incorporate these learners together, videos take the mind of history learners from the real world to when the events in discussion were happening, enabling my learners to get an in-depth analysis of what we are learning.

I think this is a great and accessible way to learn, being visual and auditive memory very important, as well as good storytelling. I find it quite useful for myself as well, it can be engaging and there are many different options to choose to learn about one specific event from different points of view.
