This is a great idea, as long as their disposal is carefully considered. Most bioplastics cannot be disposed of with oil based plastics and actually contribute to reduced recycling rates. As long as this is carefully considered and managed unintentional negative consequences can be avoided.

These can be great for people who travel for work. But in the office it would be more sustainable to add solar panels to your roof space, and use the electricity within the office. If that’s not an option then change your electricity contract to certified renewable electricity. If this isn’t a possibility you can purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to cover the amount of electricity consumed.
