What are the easiest ways to make residential properties more eco-friendly?

In my experience, introducing low-flow fixtures significantly reduced water consumption in our residential units. For larger homes, include garden maintenance as part of your management agreement - factor the cost in to the rent. Tenants love a garden but not always looking after it.
