1 Job Duties

A recreation vehicle service technician is responsible for a variety of duties to maintain recreational vehicles in optimal condition and ready for use. This includes inspecting and diagnosing electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and mechanical systems, as well as repairing or replacing faulty parts and components such as generators, batteries, appliances, water tanks, pipes, valves, pumps, brakes, tires, and lights. Additionally, they must perform routine maintenance and service like changing oil filters, fluids, and belts; lubricating parts; and checking tire pressure. They may also be tasked with installing or upgrading accessories and features such as awnings, solar panels, satellite dishes, entertainment systems and security devices. Technicians should also test and adjust systems and equipment to guarantee proper operation and safety. Finally, they must clean and sanitize recreational vehicles and their interiors as well as keep records of work performed and parts used.
