A project manager in my opinion is a Maestro , playing his project for all aspects such as ( planning, budget, coordinate, supporting his team) like a Father who contain his sons mistakes.

I get this is dealing with the role. But I like to color outside the lines. All I can say here is that it takes a team pulling in the same direction for this to work. The team needs to get dirty. Get away from your computers and actually observe what’s going on. In my career - I’ve only had that magical team maybe half a dozen times. Keep in mind that this system can’t be all things to all people. There are levels that need to be applied to each task based on risk. Is it 3 really big project; are they warehouses or labs; or maybe it’s 100 renovations. The level of effort and associated risks drives the management framework. Many people spend way more effort than is needed for a project or program.

The most difficult is relying on others to carry out their duties in line with the construction phase plan. Poor subcontract labour and ever tightening budgets are making the role extremely difficult. Constant changes to the design throughout the project also make the project extremely difficult to manage.

Trying to achieve successful outcome is like trying to nail jelly because success for different project stakeholders means different things. Generally the 4 key parameters are 1. Safety and Environment 2. Quality 3. Programme and 4. Cost. Each one has an impact on each of the others. Its up to the project leadership team to decide on what can be compromised if anything at all (and obviously not including safety). In my experience I've found if you focus on getting the safety and well-being right there is a good likelihood the rest of the targets will follow suite too.

Es importante que el gestor de proyectos tenga claro que la clave del éxito está en garantizar la coherencia del proyecto, así tiempo, costo, alcance y calidad son interdependientes y el gerente de proyectos deberá garantizar que a pesar de los cambios del medio o de circunstancias imprevistas la coherencia en las determinantes del proyecto prevalecen, es decir, el tiempo previsto alcanza para terminar cabalmente las actividades necesarias para lograr efectivamente el alcance del proyecto, sin demoras en su entrega; de la misma forma, el presupuesto garantiza los recursos necesarios sin sobre costos cumpliendo a demás los estándares de calidad y normas técnicas aplicables.
