1 Duties of an assistant controller

Assistant Controllers generally concentrate on internal matters within the finance department, such as accounts receivable, account payable and treasury. The most important aspect of being an Assistant Controller is providing regular updates the Senior Controller on general financial matters and concerns. In addition they can also serve in a management capacity as well.

It's really important that new Assistant Controllers are properly trained and are fully knowledgeable of the work processes of the finance department. It's most beneficial for new Assistant Controllers to be trained by others who are experienced in the role.
