It is okay to experiment. Try charging by the hour, by the day, or by the project. See what feels better. Studios and agencies usually only pay by the hour or by the day. I have seen day rates range from $300-$1000 and hourly from $25-$100 USD. If you are finding that you are being offered more work than you can take, it’s probably a good idea to raise your rates. Not everyone will pay your new rate, but some will!
