One thing I've found helpful for my clients is understanding their needs but from a human behaviour perspective. What is the basic human need that feels unfulfilled? Need for certainty?Need for contribution? Then this informs you on how you would like this to be satisfied, perhaps, you feel you're unable to contribute to the team project easily in the online forum being used - so instead writing your thoughts and ideas - you send a video or voicenote to record your thoughts to your team. Every person has a basic need that at somepoint feels unfulfilling which create other surface problems. If you figure out your need that needs some attention- you can create a more personalised plan of action that works.

Before starting my online therapy practice, I did a couple of mock sessions with my siblings as clients. These online mock sessions helped me get comfortable with navigating the digital tools during actual client sessions. You can also do something similar to get more comfortable digitally.

The biggest challenge with using a virtual medium in coaching & therapy is observing non-verbal cues of clients. However, with practice and keen observation, we can learn to assess some of these non-verbal cues (if not all), such as the rate of breathing, facial expressions, tone & pitch of voice, etc. But this requires patience and keen observation. So be patient with yourself while you get comfortable with the virtual coaching/therapy medium.
