It's a bit personal but I consider myself a happy person because I never did something which I didn't like. Sometimes I was paid well, sometimes just had money for food but I never sold myself for things I didn't like. Again, my personal opinion, but I don't believe that people can do great things if they don't like them. So my suggestion is always to do things you like.
