"You cannot touch the same river again". Most of the senior professionals expect the same work environment and status to continue for the new role (even if it is part time). It would be difficult, as companies have younger expertise and talent available at lesser cost. Go back to the day when you started as beginner. No expectation, no baggage's, no limitations. Now you carry decades of experience, expertise, knowledge, network and so on. More over you have another 20 years ahead. Just start your journey with first step, we can still run another marathon. Never get stuck with any preconceived notions on the new journey.

I have seen consulting work for several people who wanted to retire, but did not want to give up. Its a way for them to retain control of the time they want to work and the time they don't. I would suggest looking at a 'fractional' model. You can add multiple clients, offering one or two days per month with each, advising on the strategy and sharing your key industry knowledge with the wider team. Key areas for continued learning would be technology and remaining open to the ever-changing culture and dynamic differences in modern offices.
