I would suggest getting a new job and putting that money & passion into creating a business you love. Not jumping into entrepreneurship from being laid off and without startup capital. For example there are major tech companies that still rely on investment, because their business model still isn’t profitable decades in. So simple yet many businesses even years in can’t figure out how to profit or even make money without loans, investors, VC & more. It’s important if your company doesn’t make a lot of money not to over expand, instead learn engineering and technical skills so you can develop the tech yourself or at very least develop a profitable business model in order to hire outsourced more affordable engineers. At the beginning don’t emulate Google or Apple you don’t have millions or billions to waste. Emulate a small business because that’s what you are in the beginning. Lastly, it’s important to retain your stock ownership or you will lose control of your own company.
