Network or Not-work! Now would be the time to reach out to your established relationships for support, guidance, and next steps regarding opportunities to rejoin the workforce. Now would also be the time to customize your resume for each job, use your network’s NETWORK to tap into the hidden job market, and prepare yourself for the interview process. Everything happens for a reason, what’s next is much better and well worth it. See It Through!!!

Find your people! Chances are, there are others in your boat too we’re just to scared to advertise it. Reflect why you truly want to do what you want to do and seek advice and help from the beginning

If you’re a teacher, keep teaching. Schools are desperate for Substitute teachers And this way, you get to try different subjects, different grade levels, different everything You just might find that next school that loves what they see and you’re back full time in the classroom like that!

One time at work... I got an invitation on Linked In to comment on how to stay current in the education if you've been laid off. I'm a teacher, and older. If I got laid off now, I'd probably just get out of the field. If I were younger, I'd need to know in what area or domain you'd want to stay current. Teaching craft? Sub jobs are abundant (at least in my area/state). "Research" on latest professional trends? Not sure there's a need, as each district engages those trends in their own way. Other areas...? I don't know.

I would take the opportunity to learn a new skill such as technology to update my resume and improve my skills, opening my options to different areas. Additionally reach out to my network of professionals for updates and opportunities.

Consultant and advisor in the same field , helping investors to establish their businesses , building categories and strategies,managing, developing,marketing and recruiting staff.

Look outside the old institutional framework of your career. If you have been at a large school or university look at the small schools. Maybe look into private as well as public institutions. Be flexible but stay within your career goals and personal and professional values.

One thing I believe is to join any school,Tution centre,learning centre without salary details.To remain working is what will make other things to fall in place.Please do not get emotional as environment will be so.Just keep your timetable the same.Curtail on expenses but find your patient self with meditation and updating from free websites available.

While change can be unsettling, it is also an opportunity to reassess and reinvent oneself gaining new skills and applying them in novel ways. Taking an APSI in a related discipline such as macroeconomics has opened up new teaching and professional vistas for me as well as reinvigorated my passion for learning and applying my knowledge in novel ways. This approach can also yield new opportunities for employment in diverse settings and markets.

As a role model for education, continue learning. If students and their parents see you succeed, then they will be motivated to do the same. In my experience, older siblings and parents have gone back to school to get their high school diploma, GED, and/or undergraduate degree. I’ve offered assistance to those who have asked for it. Believe me, continuing your education is not a waste of time!

As a strong believer of life-long learning, this time could be better utilised to upskill oneself in areas that are in demand and other than what one already knows. There are numerous online courses and platforms that provide free upskilling and learning opportunities. While you explore other options, make use of these platforms such as Google courses, Coursera, TEdEd, free Harvard and other big university courses.

The best investment anyone can make is in themselves. Expanding one’s knowledge base, skill set and instructional approaches not only makes one more marketable but also improves one’s self-confidence. This is frankly invaluable as employers consistently seek self-assured, highly trained professionals who will bring value to any institution.

If you're thinking about freelancing, make sure you do a self-assessment of your skills and expertise and see if there are certain opportunities that will require your skill set. You should also determine who your target audience will be for the freelance work that you do. The opportunities are endless. Some people, for instance, work as freelance consultants for schools and educators. Others use their expertise in their subject matter or specialization area to serve as private tutors either virtually or in-person. Whatever path you take, make it a point to request testimonials or recommendation letters from your clients to keep in your records as evidence of your credibility.
