Second, what is it like for your employees? What are they thinking, feeling, and doing with these processes? Remember, the key to exceptional customer experience lies within your employees. However, that does not mean that you update processes based on their lens alone. You must look at both the customer and employee lens to ensure changes to processes are not hindering one or the other.

Try not to get caught up in that too much. Most experiences don’t have the opportunity to actually delight customers. By focusing on making the customer experience as easy as possible, you’ll make a bigger impact. Customers that say something is hard to do are 4 to 5 times more likely to be disloyal. So while it is harder to create loyalty from interactions, disloyalty is common when things are hard for your customers.
