The best way to learn is observe the people you admire or you look up to, what they do in any situation and think of it, analyze it and learn from it. Once you see different styles, you will have your own style and mentees will look up to you. There is a lot of platforms, and communities that offers mentorship programs. AACE International, PMI, and few others in the field of cost engineering and project management.

You can start by sending them a brief and polite email or message, introducing yourself, explaining why you're interested in their expertise, and asking if they would be open to a conversation. You can also mention any mutual connections or shared interests that you have. Don't be too pushy or demanding, and respect their time and availability.
