Persipio is a course set that many technicians and engineers can use with their corporation. I did this at my job and rediscovered the learning of Java, C, Python, and HTML, and JavaScript as well as program management. It can be don on off times to rediscover the changes that have taken place and Persipio will also give you Badges. I did 11 they can be very beneficial.

It is always good to meet with other network professionals on your off time and share stories. Personally I used to do this by going to company parties and sharing stories and ideas. Now that I am looking for work I have geared my life more towards helping the Knights of Columbus. A group of men in my church that socialize and provide solutions for societal problems.

I've come to understand that mentorship will always remain the closest we've come to time travel. When feeling stuck in your career, it's always a good thing to find someone who has been on same career path with you and learn form their wealth of knowledge and experience. You can't know everything and some things can only be learnt through the experience of others.

There is more out there than ourselves to think about though. If you feel you are no servicing yourself right spend some building a meditation or mental process that brings forth confidence within us. Personally I did this through a meditation that involves where I am what I am doing and relates it to mathematics to strengthen my personal awareness.

The idea of a career plateau implies that you believe that there's another height which needs reaching. Ask yourself whether that's really true? Going up in an org is often a different job, and may mean leaving behind things that you want to keep. Life doesn't have to be a stair climb. It's OK to like the role you have and find ways of keeping up with technology and the industry without trying to figure out "next level" activities.
