Especially if travel budget becomes an issue. Something that worked very well for my team was having a "Team Tea Time" once per month. 90 minutes on a Wednesday afternoon set aside for two things. Firstly, social connection, chatting and banter. Secondly, sharing knowledge and experience or learning something together as a team. My personal tip: always remember that this meeting is for them, not for you.
