Lack of proper management at vendor end (and also at customer end) 4. Rare cases, customer themselves are reason for the delay/quality issues, not fulfilling their commitments on time A vendor is your partner for a short-term, managing the work on your organization's behalf. COMMUNICATION! The expectations and the statement of work were not worth the paper it was printed on, so you must pick up the phone and ask, "How do you think this is going?" Hopefully, they open up and tell you this is going differently than planned. If that is the case, great. Now you are working on fixing it. If your vendor is still in "it's all great!" you need to say, "I disagree, let me give you some examples of where I feel you are not meeting our needs." But it would help if you asked them how they think it is going; that lets them set the tone for how you will address resetting expectations.

Before get into partnership. A quality agreement need to be drafted and agreed by both parties. The quality agreement should include delivery and quality performance metrics. Keep on meeting with the management team of vendor to discuss progress and reframing actions. Remember that vendor is a part of your extended organization and hopping from one vendor to another will not guarantee your desired outcome.
