Creating technical architecture is as much a task to shape potential solutions as it is to define the playing field, to tear down assumed boundaries. So, alignment on common believes, hypotheses with respect to future market developments, objectives is critical in designing a solution, finding a way forward expressed as a roadmap. So, align goals requires meeting at eye level, finding a common language. Both parties need to be able to move. Willing to move, willing to understand. Speaking about your side as the architect: Make it extermly easy for others to follow, to discuss. Be approachable. Make them happy to become happy. But: ask questions. Hard questions. You see things others don't see. Help them see the same things.
