What do you do if your team is divided on usability testing methods?
When your team is at odds over which usability testing methods to employ, the tension can be palpable. Usability testing is a critical component of user experience (UX) design, aimed at evaluating a product by testing it on users. This process helps identify any usability problems, collect qualitative and quantitative data, and determine the participant's satisfaction with the product. However, with a plethora of testing methods available, from moderated sessions to unmoderated remote tests, it's not uncommon for team members to have differing opinions on the best approach.
