If you know you are falling short on timelines, while you plan the activities ensure that you align with all parties supporting the sourcing activities (technical, legal, finance, etc) get their commitment on time and availability and let them know the urgency. it’s also recommended to explore any possible parallel activities because we tend to follow the process sequentially. It’s also important to plan how will you communicate your plan with the market, give em heads up, understand their timeline rather than assume can sharpen your planning
