What do you do if your superiors give you critical feedback?

In my experience, sometimes we will get negative feedback during the project. Acknowledge and thank the person for providing honest feedback.You will be calm and listen actively without getting angry. If you listen correctly, half the problem will be settled. You get advice and support from team members, colleagues, and peers to improve your knowledge and skills and develop your growth. Open communication always helps to resolve problems immediately without any confusion and conflicts. Sometimes, we must change our working styles to improve our work, increase productivity, and get positive feedback.

In my experiences of many years over 38 years of retail management, ended up in Home Depot in 1998. I agree with the example of anger, madness, and gradually a sort of healing that it came about after loosing the worst boss I had to someone I thought it was great. But, understanding the first boss, was a challenge, he was homegrown from a contractor to becoming a district manager and he was still being thought to be a leader, and not a out of control employee. But, the new boss was extremely ineffective since she was from Sears and no experience at HD. First I was left alone and then for passing information, she would ask me about another store and what to do and even though I stayed kind of hesitant but that was to be the snitch.

A person with good listening skills perceives to have a good career, it's important at all levels.While listening carefully to a feedback is not an easy task but is almost important for self development 1. One should be patient and calm while listening to feedback, with continuous eye contact showing interest towards the speaker. 2. Make notes if possible , a feedback can help you navigate through your areas of improvement. 3. Words are double edged swords they can cut either ways , hence after discussing a point concluding the same to be on the same page is very important , it's like repeating an order while taking the table to be double sure. 2. Feedbacks are extremely important and play critical role in building a professional , however it is so so important to understand how to provide a constructive feedback. Taking feedback depends on how it is being provided. Although thats where emotional intelligence comes on both end while giving or receiving the feedback. It’s not what you say , it’s always how you say it that matters.
