What do you do if your recruiting efforts result in a major setback?

Diagnose objectively what could have gone wrong in the recruitment exercise. Possibilities include gaps in candidate management, client management or a weak offer management process. There will of course be occasions where you could be thrown a curveball where a fundamental condition in the equation has changed and nullifies the recruitment efforts. Regardless, these setbacks will serve valuable learnings in the recruiters' toolkit.

Unforeseen setbacks can happen, so you need to address them immediately with all hands on deck actions. As we all know, recruiting is a process that must be carefully followed until the successful candidate is hired. Unfortunately, not everything runs smoothly, and sometimes curveballs in any process happen. Knowing how to deal with them and doing it quickly will surely minimize the effects of the setback.
