As part of the above, you may need to: - Admit your planning must be reviewed if the organizational goals do not benefit from it. This will make the rest easier on you and will show you are a reasonable flexible person. This is not about ego. The whole organization is a team that is greater than the sum of its parts. Work towards maximizing that. - Consider that you may actually be right. Business leaders often consider IT as a tool more than a Swiss knife that can do much more. If you foresee that a certain ability will be required in the medium to long term and you to prepare for it form now, before the need is recognized, your strategy may be aligned to the organizational goals more than others know/admit.
