One thing I have found to be invaluable in Corporate entities is a complete, open line of communication among all stakeholders. If the Contractor is 'frozen out' of the Discovery process of the Project Management Phase, then there is No Point in pursuing Discovery.

Reflecting and adjusting is perhaps the most considered point, but often the most misunderstood point as well. Often times when we focused on problem-solving and decision-making rather than leadership, we consider the choices that were made and not the people who are affected by them. Reflecting and adjusting is meant to determine the weight of our choices, the people who were affected by them, any lessons learned and how to make the most of the lessons learned in the future. My father once said, “The lessons you don’t learn you are destined to repeat.” Reflecting and adjusting is meant to keep you make the same mistake the same way with the same people being affected by the same choices.

Involve your team, share the challenge, goal, target, and be humble, instead of giving directions ask questions to include different solutions while you can provide them with tools according to the complexity. (I.e 5 why’s , Lean, etc)

Quick decision-making, enriched by team insights and prioritizing issues, helps avoid getting stuck in details. Knowing when to delegate and staying open to change ensures you're using your analytical strengths without overwhelming your team. Also, blending analytical skills with emotional intelligence can greatly enhance team relations and decision-making.
