I always talk to the operator first, they run the equipment day in and day out. Most operators are a valuable source of information for what's going on with the equipment

Establish a TPM program. there is no easy way to do this in an environment where machines are failing at a high frequency. However, there is a clear need to do something differently. I will try to analyze the malfunctioning sometimes the plant over due for preventive maintenance, also I will check the running hours if the plant is due for over holding. Sometimes it could be unbalanced load which needs to be blance by sharing the load equaly between the three phases. Also it could be air present in the fuel system. Anyway troubleshooting will reveal the real cause of the plant malfunctioning.

It is important to know how the plant normally function by referring to the data, perhaps that can lead to the solution. IT is also important to use common methods like user manuals to determine the nature of breakdown if mechanical or electrical or may be involving both inorder to clear the fault completely. After understanding what the plant is failing to do and the nature of breakdown, I am then sure it will be easier to find permanent solution.

The troubleshooting manual is the technician best friend, with the failure code you can find a lot of information and a lot of times the cause of them.

Consults Manual is actually a good idea also but the are missing to be put in the first place. Everybody knows their job and responsibilities when it comes with this kinds of scenarios in the different kinds set up of plant. When you do to consult the manual eventually people around the machine they wanted to see for them selves what was wrong in this machine and why it getting malfunction..Right! Yes, indeed ... Data analysis can help also but before you do your data analysis in place is there someone to put in place the 6 words before you do you job? Everybody know what their capabilities regarding their work ethics on how they do their work with passion. As for me, we "MUST" never forget to ensure the 6 words "MUST" be in place place before anyrhing else...! I write down below the 6 words that are very "IMPORTANT" that we must never missed it.!

Step 4: Keep troubleshooting if the same part you identified was recently changed. You can also isolate the identified part to make sure it is operating as designed. Step 5: Start the repair process. Take pictures of the assembly before taking it apart.
