It's important to show your successes as they relate to goals or KPIs that your supervisor or business have agreed to as indicating success as a business. It's one thing to complete all of your projects on time and on budget (inputs), but the outputs (what were the actual outcomes of these projects) are what can help to make a stronger case when looking for a raise and/or promotion. It's also important to have a number or title in mind when negotiating and to lead with that, but also to have a number below that which you'd still be happy with. So if you're looking for a $10k raise but would be happy with a $7.5k raise, start at 10. Don't be afraid to ask for what you believe you've earned and deserve.
