Working with the employees on the floor with them and humbling your self. Even completing the simplest tasks like packing tools away to keep the site safe. One must do. Explain to them why you are doing these things. Interact with the employees and ask them for some suggestions on how to improve safety on site. Make them feel like they have a voice. Sometimes also being on the floor with the can give a greater understanding of the risks and more practical ways to mitigate them. I have personally done this myself and have seen a big change. They are acting safely now on their own. They are happier the over all moral has improved and therefor creating a good safety culture that benifits the company.
