What do you do if your mentee is facing burnout?
Recognizing burnout in a mentee can be challenging, but as a coach or mentor, it's crucial to be observant and proactive. Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when a mentee feels overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands. As the workload continues to mount, the motivation to keep going starts to wane. If you notice signs of burnout, such as a lack of enthusiasm, persistent fatigue, or a drop in performance, it's important to address these issues promptly and supportively.
