What do you do if your management decisions lead to setbacks instead of growth?

Face in to the problem and address issues! Great leadership encompasses open communication and authenticity and part of that must be acknowledging wrong decisions! Being honest and accountable for decisions will set the tone for you team. A wrong decision is often better than no decision in the pursuit of success and a team of people unafraid to try is important!

Find a balance between challenging your team and setting achievable objectives to maintain motivation and morale.

Organizational objective prevails more than how individual or any smaller work group emotion state. It is prudent to take ownership of any less stellar outcome, start re-grouping by agreeing on the present state. Focus on the problem statement, list down the key journey path related to the process which helps to provide architectural view of end-to-end process with setback. Start looking at whether you are measuring the right parameters. Do not jump into solutioning while analyzing data/ report. List down all the situation captured and brainstorm solution without leaving out any regardless of its effectiveness. Prioritize them based on the impact, from quick wins to the most complex.
