1 Assess your strengths and weaknesses

No one is born a natural speaker. Everyone has to work toward it. Watching yourself speak, regardless of how awkward it feels, allows you to analyze yourself and directly improve. You should view the recording 3 times: 1. First, pretend you're an audience member. How would you feel watching you? 2. Second, look at your on-stage personality. Do you look nervous? Are you using your hands properly? 3. Third, close your eyes and listen to your voice. Are you confident? Is there enough variation in your inflection? If you can, also film your audience, and watch the two videos side-by-side. Observe the audience's live reactions; amplify your characteristics when you see them reacting positively, and minimize what you do when they aren't engaged.

2 Practice, practice, practice

The second step to improve your public speaking skills is to practice as much as you can. Practice makes perfect, and the more you practice, the more comfortable and confident you will become. To practice in the right way, the first step is to assess the training needs. Different training needs could be :To work on fluency, Overcoming stage fear, Learning skills like Storytelling, Pitch Variation, etc. Depending upon the objective, time, and money one is willing to invest one can decide the strategy. For instance, for specific feedback one may find a Public Speaking Coach. To overcome stage fear, one may join a small community or group. If one cannot commit time to enroll or join, just open your camera and record a 2 minute video on a daily basis. One may choose a combination of such methods or only one of them. And Second Step is , whatever method you decide, just be consistent with it. Consistency brings Magic ?
