I started an exit interview strategy to better retain top talent. Learning where we may have failed an employee helped us build a stronger strategy and commitment to current employees. We started a learning & development site where internal employees could get access to learning modules and required certifications needed to move up in the Tech field. We started a monthly news letter to highlight current openings within the organization, current market trends, company news, new technologies on the horizon, etc. We know that constant communication is key to retaining employees and building goals for growth is critical.

The biggest challenge we are facing is most people want to work from home but most IT jobs require employees to be at home. I think companies need to be flexible but most are not. We do provide lunches in the office 2 days a week, lots of snacks and plenty of in the office entertainment and happy hours.
