First of all: This is good. It would be much worse if it would not trigger any reaction. Secondly many people don’t like change. And you predict change, so this is a threat - which can lead to disagreements. But then listen carefully, because you can also be running in the wrong direction. Or too strong in one direction. Try to quantify if your identified trends will really be adapted or is the industry will have the same feedback.

Start by considering the source of that challenging feedback. Is it someone who has experience in the area -- perhaps a lot more experience than you? Is it someone who has their own agenda -- possibly a competing agenda? Is it someone who is threatened or intimidated by you? It it someone who is consequential (such as a a senior executive in your company... a board member) -- or is it someone who is inconsequential to you (say, an online troll). How much weight you give to that "challenging feedback," and the level of corrective action you take (or don't take), rests largely on the answer to those questions. You will never get the whole world to agree (think: flat earth). Key stakeholders are another matter.
