Communication would always play a major part in determining if a business will be successful or not. Here's what I have learned first hand, it is not enough to know about the problem, we must speak about and communicate ways of resolving challenges. Part of building a formidable Team is saying to other members I can work together with you despite our individual differences. At the end of the day, our goal and objectives as a business should be placed superior to our conflicts. Once members get it, it saves everyone time and maximizes productivity

Take some time to understand the underlying reasons behind the communication challenges and setbacks. Is it due to miscommunication within your team, lack of clarity in your messaging, or external factors beyond your control? Alongside, be willing to adapt and adjust your communication approach as needed. Experiment with different communication channels, styles, and formats to find what works best for your audience and objectives

Identify the communication gaps: Analyze where communication is breaking down. Seek feedback: Ask trusted advisors or mentors for honest feedback on your communication. This can help identify blind spots. Practice active listening: Pay close attention to what others are saying, both verbally and non-verbally. Ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Depending on your specific problem at hand a dialog might be a great way to regain trust, but sometimes especially when communicating to the larger outside world, that might not be your (only) way to go. If you've assessed the situation, you know what went wrong, show initiative and accountability in communicating and acknowledging your mistake. Don't wait to be called out, but put things right on your own. This shows real commitment and speaks so much louder than just a performative act after a shitstorm. In any case if you've already been called out, educate yourself and don't expect others to do this work for you, a dialog is great, as long as you are not burdening your counterparts even more. Be respectful and honest.

I've always maintained that patience is a skill. Sometimes as Leaders we overestimate the abilities of others simply because we are highly ambitious and want to see immediate impact. Do not over estimate what is easy for you to do as what is easy for others too. One thing patience does when we give passionate, hardworking members opportunity is that it buys loyalty and brings them on a journey with your vision. This part is priceless

As you are communicating with someone, you will notice their body language shift or pick up on when you are being met with short responses to open questions. You will recognize patterns with how people respond to your emails or other messages. Being able to pick up on these things quickly takes practice, but they payoff is big as you will be able to pivot the moment you realize something is off. You can change your approach/style or shift to asking for questions or clarification to get things back on track.

Mentorship is invaluable in entrepreneurship, offering guidance from those who have walked the path before. Having a mentor to objectively and constructively assess your communication style and methods is crucial. Entrepreneurs often face communication challenges unique to their industry, so approaching these with an open mind and a readiness to adapt and enhance your skills is essential. Embracing this proactive attitude towards communication is a key component of entrepreneurial success.
