First of all, I would consider what unfair actually means and I would try to probe what is the reason behind his behavior. For the first sight, it may seem unfair but we need to dig deeper to understand. If we find the reason and it seems unfair, I would schedule a meeting where I would bring up the topic while using labels, tactical empathy and I would put emphasis on the relationship
