If there is an issue with employee engagement, it's best to go to the source. It's essential to understand the employee perspective and that can't happen if the employees don't have a voice. I would start with honest, one-on-one conversations with a few trusted employees to get a better idea of why engagement is low. If the workplace culture is positive, a larger team meeting to address concerns regarding engagement would reveal a lot and make employees feel heard. If the organization is too large for such a meeting, a staff survey can be put out to everyone asking for honest feedback. You can't improve employee engagement without understanding where the employees are coming from and that requires honesty and transparency.

Employee Engagement initiatives might fall flat if they don't address the core needs and desires of employees. The first step would be to conduct employee engagement surveys and analyze the data and feedback to identify if the strategies align with employee priorities. P.S. Please do not bother to conduct an Employee Engagement survey if you do not have a plan to implement feedback.

You can do this through -Assessing metrics but also sentiment feedback from stakeholders (colleagues) from forums, networks -Run engagement sessions in smaller groups so people are empowered to speak up -Be clear on what employees need to know and how best they’d like to receive this information
